WORKSHOP: Sing The Body Electric (1:30 – 3:00 PM)
Isaac & Thorald Koren will be joined by sound healer Eileen McKusick; together they’ll take you on an innovative vocal adventure, where you’ll be guided to “clean out your pipes,” connect to your electric body, and learn a series of simple but profound techniques that will help keep not just your voice but your whole body “in tune”. You’ll practice simple vowel sounds and directional toning to activate the whole body as an instrument—opening up new levels of vocal freedom and expression.
This immersive voice workshop takes place in the beautiful, biodiverse garden and avocado orchard of Apricot Lane Farms. No prior musical or singing ability needed. This is not a singing workshop, and beginners are encouraged.. just bring your voice!
SING-ALONG CONCERT: Brothers Koren & the Kin (4 – 5:15 PM)
The workshop will be followed by a concert & sing-along with The Brothers Koren & The Kin in the garden, blending voices in a shared musical experience.
This event takes place outside, on a farm — please come prepared with blankets, lawn chairs, sturdy shoes, sun protection & a reusable water bottle for the most comforable experience!
Local food, beer and wine will be available for purchase. A portion of proceeds will benefit Apricot Lane Farms’ education partner, Rodale Institute.

About The Brothers Koren
Hailing from Australia, the Brothers Koren embarked on an odyssey, drawn by their fiercely independent mother’s quest to reclaim her voice—a voice that once echoed on the stages of the original cast of ‘HAIR’. Landing in NYC in 2001, they began their 15 year long musical journey as The Kin; from the hush of empty dive bars to the roaring applause of millions, culminating in a coveted gold record. Their talent took them around the globe, sharing stages with the likes of Coldplay, P!NK, Bon Jovi, and Rod Stewart. However, amidst the glittering success lay a void—a yearning for authenticity and a sense of unfulfillment.
Their mission has now grown to include all voices, and use music song and voice as a medium of transformation.
About Thorald Koren
Thorald is a voice and behavioral coach, multi-instrumentalist, member of the brother duo Fransansisco, and part of the writer/producer team Bråves.
During his early career, Thorald experienced critical obsessive compulsive disorder, which debilitated him and his ability to be fully present in his life. After hitting rock bottom, Thorald slowly found a pathway through the madness. He created “voice as a whole body instrument” as a response to what he discovered. His experience has given him an intimate knowledge of the workings of the human brain and the emotional body.
As a vocal producer, Thorald coaches people on forming a new relationship to their brain, body, and voice, guiding them to become “comfortably uncomfortable” with their own biological alarm systems, therein allowing themselves to be radically free to express themselves fully and powerfully, and be present to the experience of singing.
About Isaac Koren
Isaac is committed to serving transformation through creative expression. His passion is to hold space for people to realize and embody their innate value through the mirror of songwriting. After hearing a voice as a kid that told him ‘ you will sing’, he is now a passionate seeker of the gifts of people’s life stories that are bursting to come out, as co-founder of The Songwriters Journey and Your Big Voice.
After a teenage onset of depression and acute liver disease, Isaac returned to music and singing for healing. After a three month recovery, he began a twenty year research at Northeastern University, a journey that has led him to a deeper understanding of what he calls ‘Musical Cosmology’.
For Isaac, music is living in the architecture of life itself, everything in the universe is singing itself into being. He connects to the source through improvisation and illumination, singing is a way of living true and whole. He is focused on exploring the receptive side of the human voice, where deeper listening brings expanded expression and the transformative power of song on the human being.
